Booking Conditions

Last updated: 20 June 2026

Membership of The Luminari Club is free. These conditions explain how a booking works when you ask us to arrange travel, who you are contracting with, and how your money is protected.

1. Membership and bookings are separate

Joining the club costs nothing, and there is no obligation to book. When you do ask us to arrange travel, the cost of that travel is set by the hotel, airline or other supplier. We never mark up your rate. We are paid a commission by the hotels we work with, which is how membership stays free.

2. How a booking is made

The Luminari Club is a trading name of Luminari Travel Ltd, which arranges travel as an independent travel consultant of Simplexity Travel Management Ltd (registered in England number 07849358, 5th Floor, 3 Hanover Square, Mayfair, London W1S 1HD). Your booking is placed and administered through Simplexity, and is subject to the Simplexity Travel Management Ltd Booking Terms and Conditions, which you should read alongside this page. We will confirm the applicable terms with you before any booking is confirmed.

Your concierge correspondence and Guest Passport sit with The Luminari Club; the booking contract, payment, documentation and financial protection sit with Simplexity and the relevant suppliers.

3. Who your contract is with

Depending on what you book, your contract for the travel itself may be with the individual supplier (for example a hotel or airline), or with Simplexity. Where Simplexity acts as agent for a supplier, your contract for that element is with the supplier and is also subject to that supplier's own terms and conditions. Your booking confirmation will make clear, for each element, who your contract is with. Any issue with a travel service should be raised with the relevant supplier, and we will help you do so.

4. Accuracy and your responsibilities

Please check that all names, dates and details on your booking confirmation exactly match your passports and travel documents, and tell us straight away if anything is wrong. You are responsible for holding valid travel documents, visas, and any required health or entry documentation for your trip. For current guidance see the Foreign travel advice and travel health resources.

5. Prices and payment

Prices are confirmed at the time of booking and are subject to availability. Payment is made in accordance with the Simplexity Booking Terms and any supplier requirements; some bookings require payment in full at the time of booking, and most are subject to supplier deposit, balance and payment schedules. We will set these out clearly before you commit.

6. Changes and cancellations

If you want to change or cancel a booking, tell us in writing as soon as possible and we will act on your behalf. Changes and cancellations are subject to the terms of Simplexity and the relevant supplier, and supplier charges may apply, which can be up to the full cost of the arrangements. We will always tell you what a change or cancellation will cost before anything is actioned.

If a supplier changes or cancels a significant part of your arrangements, we will let you know as soon as we can and help you consider the options available to you under the applicable booking terms.

7. Financial protection

Flight-inclusive packages arranged for you are ATOL protected under the ATOL held by Simplexity Travel Management Ltd, ATOL number 10540. Not all arrangements are ATOL protected. Where a booking is ATOL protected you will receive an ATOL Certificate; please ask us to confirm what protection applies to your particular booking. Full detail is on our Financial protection page.

8. Supplier terms and conduct

Each supplier has its own terms and conditions that apply to your booking in addition to these conditions, and you agree to be bound by them. Suppliers may refuse to carry or accommodate travellers who are considered unfit to travel or whose behaviour is unacceptable, in which case no refund will be due for unused services.

9. Complaints

If something is not right during your trip, please tell the supplier at the time so it can be put right, and tell us as soon as possible so we can help. If a matter cannot be resolved, please write to us within 28 days of returning. As bookings are made through Simplexity, a Member of ABTA (membership P7198, Y6468), ABTA's dispute resolution scheme may also be available to you; see abta.com.

10. Our role and liability

We arrange your travel with reasonable skill and care. We are not the provider of the travel services themselves, and we are not liable for the acts or omissions of suppliers or for matters outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these conditions excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11. Governing law

These conditions and any booking are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.

12. Contact

Please note: these conditions sit alongside the Simplexity Travel Management Ltd Booking Terms and Conditions and each supplier's own terms. Where there is any conflict in relation to the travel contract itself, the Simplexity and supplier terms prevail.
